Handles the recruitment of international students without commissioning any external institution, legal person, group, orindividual to handle related matters except publicity and promotion, and to assist students coming to Taiwan undertake the necessary related procedures.

3.Application Procedure (For detailed information, please refer to the admission brochure for the current academic year.)

Please establish that your identification satisfies the requirements for international students applying, and after that, validate the departmental application deadline and the admissions period. |

Please fill out the admission application form on the school's registration system and attach the necessary files. |

Prior to the deadline, kindly upload the application materials to the school's foreign student registration system. (https://tra.tajen.edu.tw/OverseasStudent/), send it registered mail(overseas, it is recommended to use express services such as DHL or FedEx) to the aforementioned location. When the application form is received, Office of International Foundation Program will send you an email to let you know. |
1.Complete the online admission application form (attach a two-inch half-length photo). All documents for applications, excluding images, should be uploaded as JPG files. Others are submitted as PDF files; please upload each file individually in accordance with the appropriate section; each file item can only upload one file. The maximum file size for upload is 2 MB; if applicants have many electronic files for a single project, please combine them into a single file before uploading. Overdue submissions will not be accepted, and all application materials will not be returned.
2.Documents and transcripts proving the highest academic qualification or equivalent from a foreign school, verified by our overseas missions, agencies established or designated by the Executive Yuan, or non-governmental organizations entrusted by them (for languages other than Chinese and English, a Chinese or English translation should be attached).
(1)Academic credentials from the mainland: It shall be treated in line with the rules for recognizing academic credentials from the mainland.
(2)Hong Kong or Macao academic qualifications: should be handled in accordance with the regulations on the verification and recognition of Hong Kong and Macao academic qualifications.
(3)Educational credentials from other regions:
A.Educational credentials from Taiwanese business schools and international schools are equivalent to those from comparable institutions in my home country.
B.For academic qualifications from overseas institutions other than those listed in the first two items, the regulations governing the recognition of foreign academic qualifications by universities shall apply. However, academic qualifications from foreign schools with campuses or branch campuses in mainland China must be notarized by a notary public office in mainland China and verified by a non-governmental organization commissioned by an institution established or designated by the Executive Yuan.
(4)Graduation (complete) (completion), The school's bachelor's program is open to applicants with grades equivalent to the second grade of senior high schools in Taiwan or graduates of institutions of a comparable caliber in Hong Kong and Macau. Applicants may complete more than 12 credits (including) before graduation in accordance with the requirements of the school. must be qualified to graduate. Supplemental course credits are not counted toward graduation.
3.A copy of your passport or a copy of your nationality certificate.
4.One copy of a study schedule and autobiography in either Chinese or English.
5.Full scholarship recipients may receive a scholarship certificate instead (scholarship application forms will not be accepted). Those who have received the Taiwan Scholarship Certificate from the Ministry of Education must still attach a financial certificate of NT$60,000 or US$2,000 from a financial institution in Chinese or English.
6. Documents related to language proficiency
(1)All departments at our university primarily use Chinese as the language of instruction.
A.Applicants must provide proof of a TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language) Level 2 or above, or equivalent international Chinese proficiency.
B.Graduated from a school where Chinese is the medium of instruction, please provide proof (e.g., Malaysian Chinese Independent High School Graduation Certificate) or proof that you majored in Chinese at university.
(2)Applicants for English-language programs should have an English proficiency level of CEFR B1 or above.
(3)Departments may, when necessary, notify applicants to take a test of their Chinese language proficiency or professional subject (including listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills).
7.It is necessary to submit the paperwork that each agency requires.
(1)The aforementioned papers must be complete and qualified before being given to the department for final inspection since they are required for the preliminary examination.
(2)The applicant department will conduct an interview and examine the application for admission. Please be sure to provide the interviewer's contact information.
8.Foreign students who have completed their bachelor's degree or above in Taiwan and wish to continue their studies in master's or higher programs may submit their graduation certificates and academic transcripts from Taiwanese universities and colleges in accordance with Article 7. They are exempt from submitting the overseas academic credentials required in Article 7, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 2.
9.Foreign students who meet the requirements of Article 2, Paragraph 1 and have completed their associate degree or lower degree programs in Taiwan may apply for admission to bachelor's degree programs in accordance with Article 7 by presenting their academic credentials and academic transcripts, without being required to submit the foreign academic credentials required in Article 7, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 2.
10.When reviewing applications for admission to foreign students, if there are doubts about the validity of documents in Article 18, Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs 2 and 3 of the Regulations Governing the Study of Foreign Students in Taiwan that have not been verified by our overseas missions, agencies established or designated by the Executive Yuan, or non-governmental organizations entrusted by them, our school may request verification; if such documents have already been verified, our school may request assistance in further verification.
11.If the admission documents submitted by foreign students are found to be forged, borrowed, or altered, their admission should be revoked; if they have already registered, their student status should be revoked and no relevant academic certificates should be issued; if such issues are discovered after graduation, the university should revoke their graduation and cancel their degree certificate.
12.Health Certificate within the Last Three Months.
5.Tuition and miscellaneous fees
(1)In accordance with the "Implementation Guidelines for Scholarships for Foreign Students in the 2026-2027 Academic Year of Tajen University", preferential admission policies will be implemented for four-year technical college students in the 2026-2027 academic year.
(2)Students eligible for this scholarship and grant in their four-year technical college program will receive an entrance scholarship for the first semester, which will be used to offset tuition and fees for that semester. From the second to the eighth semester, a registration fee of NT$42,000 will be charged each semester. The fee breakdown is as follows: Tuition NT$30,000, Miscellaneous Fees NT$10,450, Computer Usage Fee NT$600, and Accident Insurance NT$950. (The actual fee schedule is subject to the announcement on the accounting office's website for that semester.)
6.Refund standards for tuition and fees
The actual refund standards are based on the announcements on the university's Accounting Office website.
7.Scholarship
(1)Foreign students may apply for the Ministry of Education Taiwan Scholarship established by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China. The application requirements and procedures are subject to the announcements of the Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program (https://taiwanscholarship.moe.gov.tw/web/index.aspx ).
(2)Students who meet the eligibility criteria for the 2026-2027 International Student Entrance Scholarship at Tajen University will receive an entrance scholarship for the first semester, which will be used to offset tuition and fees for that semester. From the second to the eighth semester, a registration fee of NT$42,000 will be charged per semester, with the following breakdown: Tuition NT$30,000, Miscellaneous Fees NT$10,450, Computer Usage Fee NT$600, and Accident Insurance NT$950. (Actual fees are subject to the announcement on the accounting office's website for the current semester.)
(3)According to the "Implementation Guidelines for the 2026 Academic Year Scholarship for International Students of Tajen University", students who apply for accommodation in the second dormitory will be exempt from accommodation fees for the first semester. From the second semester onwards, the accommodation fee will be NT$4,500 per semester, but winter and summer vacations and electricity fees will be charged according to the accommodation regulations. Those who do not apply or apply again after leaving the dormitory during the semester will be deemed to have given up their application and will not be allowed to apply again.
