3.Admission Language Proficiency Requirement (入學語言能力門檻)

(1)When applying for admission to this program, the applicant is expected to reach Level One of TOCFL, but the proof of language proficiency is not mandatory. If the applicant does not provide TOCFL certificate, a proof of 120 hours of Chinese language class is required. The training hours are up to 120 hours through the local Chinese language training center approved by the VietNam government.

(2)Regardless of whether applicants provide proof of Chinese language proficiency, all students must take the Chinese proficiency placement test administered by the university after enrollment. Students will be placed into appropriate classes based on the test results.Students who do not possess a Chinese proficiency level of A2 or above must pass a Chinese proficiency test at A2 level or higher before the end of the second semester of the first academic year.Those who fail to meet this requirement will be subject to dismissal by the university.

(3)According to Item 1, Subparagraph 1, Section 3 of the "New Southbound Industry-Academia Collaboration International Program Guidelines" issued by the Ministry of Education, students who have not achieved Chinese language proficiency at level A2 or above prior to enrollment must take the following Chinese language courses in the first semester of the first academic year:

(a) Credit-bearing course: 5 credits, 10 hours per week.

(b) Non-credit remedial course: at least 5 hours per week.

(4)Students who fail to reach A2 level or above by the end of the first semester must take the "Basic Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate Guidance" course in the second semester.

(5)Students who have already achieved a Chinese proficiency level above A2 (i.e., B1 level or higher) prior to enrollment may be exempted from taking "Basic Chinese" and its remedial courses. Instead, they will take "Intermediate Chinese" and "Intermediate Chinese Remedial" courses to help them pass higher-level Chinese proficiency tests.

(6)Students who take "Basic Chinese" and its remedial course in the first semester will continue with "Intermediate Chinese" and its remedial course in the second semester.Students who take "Intermediate Chinese" and its remedial course in the first semester will proceed to "Advanced Chinese" and "Advanced Chinese Remedial" courses in the second semester.

4. Financial Proof Requirements (財力證明基準)

Within the last three months, you must provide proof of financial resources, such as a bank statement in Chinese or English, showing a deposit of NT$150,000 or USD 5,000 or more, or proof of scholarships or grants provided by the government, your school, or private organizations.

Full scholarship recipients may receive a scholarship certificate instead (scholarship application forms will not be accepted). Those who have received the Taiwan Scholarship Certificate from the Ministry of Education must still attach a financial certificate of NT$60,000 or US$2,000 from a financial institution in Chinese or English.

6.Tuition and Fee Payment & Refund Policy (學雜費收退費標準)

1.In accordance with the "Implementation Guidelines for Scholarships for Foreign Students in the 2026-2027 Academic Year of Tajen University", preferential admission policies will be implemented for four-year technical college students in the 2026-2027 academic year.

2.Students eligible for this scholarship and grant in their four-year technical college program will receive an entrance scholarship for the first semester, which will be used to offset tuition and fees for that semester. From the second to the eighth semester, a registration fee of NT$42,000 will be charged each semester. The fee breakdown is as follows: Tuition NT$30,000, Miscellaneous Fees NT$10,450, Computer Usage Fee NT$600, and Accident Insurance NT$950. (The actual fee schedule is subject to the announcement on the accounting office's website for that semester.)

7.  Scholarship (獎助學金)

(1)Foreign students may apply for the Ministry of Education Taiwan Scholarship established by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China. The application requirements and procedures are subject to the announcements of the Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program (https://taiwanscholarship.moe.gov.tw/web/index.aspx ).

(2)Students who meet the eligibility criteria for the 2026-2027 International Student Entrance Scholarship at Tajen University will receive an entrance scholarship for the first semester, which will be used to offset tuition and fees for that semester. From the second to the eighth semester, a registration fee of NT$42,000 will be charged per semester, with the following breakdown: Tuition NT$30,000, Miscellaneous Fees NT$10,450, Computer Usage Fee NT$600, and Accident Insurance NT$950. (Actual fees are subject to the announcement on the accounting office's website for the current semester.)

(3)According to the "Implementation Guidelines for the 2026 Academic Year Scholarship for International Students of Tajen University", students who apply for accommodation in the second dormitory will be exempt from accommodation fees for the first semester. From the second semester onwards, the accommodation fee will be NT$4,500 per semester, but winter and summer vacations and electricity fees will be charged according to the accommodation regulations. Those who do not apply or apply again after leaving the dormitory during the semester will be deemed to have given up their application and will not be allowed to apply again.
