1. The theme of this year’s conference is **"Empowering Life Care through Digital Technology: Innovations and Challenges."** The event will focus on the innovative applications and challenges of digital technologies (including Virtual Reality \[VR], Artificial Intelligence \[AI], and Digital Asset Management) in the fields of funeral and memorial services, end-of-life care, grief counseling, life and death education, and cultural preservation. The conference will also explore ethical considerations, industrial innovations, and humanistic values in ultimate care.
2. Call for papers – suggested topics include but are not limited to:
* (1) Innovative applications of Virtual Reality (VR) in memorial ceremonies and mourning spaces.
* (2) Applications of AI in end-of-life companionship and grief counseling.
* (3) Preservation of digital assets and intelligent genealogy systems.
* (4) Technologies and interactive interfaces for remote spiritual care.
* (5) Impact of virtual rituals on religious beliefs and mourning cultures.
* (6) Legal and ethical issues of digital legacy and inheritance.
* (7) Interpretation and challenges of technological intervention in traditional funeral practices.
* (8) Integration of VR and AI in life and death education and pedagogical innovation.
3. Important Dates:
* (1) Abstract submission deadline: **August 31, 2025**
* (2) Notification of review results: **September 15, 2025**
* (3) Full paper submission deadline: **October 31, 2025**
