2025 National Overseas Chinese Student Cup Sports Games

 

  1. To promote sports among overseas Chinese students in Taiwan, enhance interaction and connections, strengthen teamwork among schools, and encourage participation in healthy recreational activities, the Overseas Community Affairs Council has entrusted the National Taiwan University of Sport (Center for Sports Events) to host the 2025 National Overseas Chinese Student Cup Sports Games on November 22 (Saturday) and November 23 (Sunday), 2025, at the National Taiwan University of Sport.

  2. Registration is by school. Participants must be overseas Chinese students (including Hong Kong and Macau students) currently enrolled in colleges or universities. The competition categories, team limits, and maximum registration quotas are as follows:

    • Men’s Basketball (5-on-5, full court): Maximum 24 teams; each team may register up to 12 members, including 1 coach.

    • Women’s Basketball (3-on-3, half court): Maximum 14 teams; each team may register up to 5 members, including 1 coach.

    • Mixed Volleyball (3 men and 3 women per team): Maximum 24 teams; each team may register up to 10 members, including 1 coach.

    • Badminton Team Competition (Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles): Maximum 24 teams; each team may register up to 11 members, including 1 coach.

  3. Each school may appoint one team leader to accompany its delegation. Players may participate in multiple events. However, if a player is unable to compete due to schedule conflicts and the team cannot field enough players, the team will be considered to have forfeited.

  4. To encourage participation, the top three teams in each event will be awarded certificates, medals, and cash prizes (in New Taiwan Dollars) as follows:

    • Men’s Basketball: NT$50,000 / NT$30,000 / NT$20,000

    • Women’s Basketball: NT$16,000 / NT$10,000 / NT$8,000

    • Mixed Volleyball: NT$50,000 / NT$30,000 / NT$20,000

    • Badminton Team Competition: NT$50,000 / NT$30,000 / NT$20,000

  5. The organizer will provide each participant with NT$3 million accident insurance (with NT$300,000 medical coverage), as well as souvenirs, drinking water, lunch on both days, and a meal box after the awards ceremony. Transportation to and from the venue, travel insurance, accommodation, and meals other than those mentioned above must be covered by the respective schools (teams).

  6. Team members must provide their iOCSC Card number when registering. For those who have not yet applied, schools should review and compile the applications and send the list to ocacst@ocac.gov.tw. After receiving the iOCSC Card, the card number should be submitted.   7. Registration details, competition regulations, schedules, and registration links will be announced by the National Taiwan University of Sport (Center for Sports Events) via the official Facebook fan page (QR code provided in Attachment 4). Registration will be open from September 1 to September 28, 2025, and will close once the team quota is full.
